surfing an ocean of color

Hmmmm I'm starting something new!  Inspired by the sea-foam and the black sand beaches of the Marin Headlands, I gathered this color palette of hand-dyed fabrics.

Picking a palette is a fist step, but the true story of color unfolds in the relationship and proportion of hues as they manifest into pattern.

My students at OCMQG workshop this weekend will get a live preview of this new curvy modern improv as it evolves. Not only will they be learning techniques for curve piecing, and approaches to improvisation, they will DIVE into a deep intuitive OCEAN of color and learn to ride their own WAVE!
