the rift between dreams
The limits and desires I’ve spun over a lifetime have manifested a 1904 three-story, red brick, row house, on a quiet dead end street in one of Cincinnati’s earliest suburbs. This version surprises me! Is this the dream I’ve been working towards?
home of one's own
In 1929, “A Room of One’s Own” was Virginia Woolf’s call for women to be educated and to claim space for their voices, their visions and their power as creators, citizens and leaders. Virginia was a contemporary of my grandmother’s era. Today I have SIX rooms of my own plus a kitchen and two bathrooms!

make do with me
Quilt making is a model for reclaiming the legacy of making do at a critical time of cultural, economic, and environmental transition.
june mandala / making do begins
Making do with what's at hand is an accomplishment, a state of gratitude, a rhythm of attention, that feeds the spirit and restores the soul.
diy beauty / rose water
Rose water is a simple luxury, a button jar blessing, that's easy to make. Use it daily as a face toner for a glowing, juicy complexion!
buttons / freddy freckles
My #1 button of joy, Freddy Freckles shakes and squirms, nips and twitches, and eventually snuggles in, warm, damp and sweet after his bath.
may mandala / gathering resources
Buttons are like blessings. When resources seem sparse, the value of each singular button and simple blessing becomes clear.
