More About the Improv Curve Primer Series

From my sewing room to yours…

I am inspired to offer this comprehensive trio of Improv Curve workshops this fall. I’ve thought carefully about all of the possible curve classes I have taught and could teach and chose these three as a balanced and connected curriculum that will build confidence and flow, advance your curve skill set, and key your mind to think in curves (not squares).

  • In September: Refine your signature curve. Rhythmic Improv Curves will build your confidence with color, rhythm, and basic technique, and teaches a reliable method for making curves that flow and soften the grid.

  • In October: Learn bias-strip curve piecing to create Orange Peels & Petals. As your technique expands so will your imagination and ability to realize your vision.

  • In November: Making organic freestyle curves may seem hard, but once you learn how curve piecing works, composing off‑grid and on the fly gets easy. Freestyle Curve Engineering is a construction primer designed to help you grasp the basics of curve piecing and composition.

Join me for one, two or all three Improv Curve workshops in this thoughtfully curated series.

I can’t wait to see what you create!
